Rio is experiencing an international moment and is consolidated as the most viral destination in South America on social networks. With known natural landscapes, strong cultural identity and experiences that attract tourists from all over the world, the city has dominated publications, videos and content shared on digital platforms.
Beaches like Copacabana, Ipanema and São Conrado, postcards remembered in the world as the Cristo Redentor and the Pão de Açúcar, as well as the energy of open events such as New Year, Carnaval and the recent Everybody in Rio, positions the Wonderful City as one of the most discussed subjects between travelers and content creators. The combination between nature and culture is also pointed out as one of the main reasons for the city's popularity growth in the digital environment.
Another of many recognitions
Recognition also appears in international rankings. A survey conducted by the British magazine Time Out in partnership with Intrepid Travel placed Rio de Janeiro in the 12th position among the most desired destinations in the world and as the first place in Latin America. The survey was based on the opinion of residents, who highlighted aspects such as natural beauty, lifestyle and cultural experiences.
Rio's strength in international tourism was also confirmed in the latest World Travel Awards, one of the main awards in the sector. The capital of Rio de Janeiro won in the categories of “Best City Destination”, “Best Beach Destination” and “Best Romantic Travel Destination” in South America.
Another survey, conducted by the Mastercard Economic Institute, pointed out Rio as the most desired destination in Latin America for travel, recording significant growth in searches related to the city.
On social networks, content showing the setting of the Rio sun, samba wheels, beaches, trails, viewpoints and gastronomic experiences continue to accumulate millions of views and reinforce Rio de Janeiro as one of the most desired and commented destinations on the planet today.
