Brazil shines in the 32nd edition of the World Travel Awards South America – and Rio is one of the great protagonists!

Recognized as the “Oscar of Tourism”, the World Travel Awards celebrates the destinations and initiatives that have stood out most in the sector over the past year. In 2025, Brazil has a strong presence in several categories, reinforcing its position as a global reference in tourism – and Rio de Janeiro appears as one of the main names of this dispute.

The Wonderful City competes as Best Beach Destination in South America, making Brazil the only country with two nominees in this category.

Rio is also among the finalists as Best Holiday Destination and Best Business Travel Destination, reaffirming its versatility and relevance as one of the most complete destinations in the region.

In all, Brazil is in categories ranging from adventure tourism to culture, going through gastronomy, nature, business and cruises – a true picture of the diversity and national tourist potential.

The vote is open until August 3rd, and anyone can participate – industry professionals or enthusiasts. To vote, just access the official site of the award Here..

The winners will be announced at a special ceremony on the day September 27 In Cancún, Mexico.

In addition to the destinations, the country also disputes with the Embratur, indicated as Best Tourist Promotion Agency in South America.
