Registration for blocks of 2026 Street Carnaval are already open

The Prefeitura do Rio, through Riotur, opens on Friday (15) the registration period for the street blocks interested in participating in the Carnaval 2026. Registration, which runs until September 15, should be made exclusively by the site riotur.prefecture.rio

This is the first official stage for the authorization of parades and allows the Riotur, together with the other public agencies involved, to organize the logistics, security and infrastructure of the party in advance. In 2025, more than 400 processions were authorized.

For 2026, street folia is scheduled to begin on January 17.
