Pre-carnaval weekend brings together megablocks with Léo Santana and Ivete Sangalo in charge

This weekend, the city blocks will have a diverse schedule, which brings together megablocks, copyright proposals and cultural manifestations spread across different regions of the city. On Saturday, among the highlights of the pre-carnaval is the Block of Gold, which returns to the megablock circuit with Léo Santana in front of the electric trio.

For the third consecutive year, the Bahian singer promises to drag a crowd with a repertoire full of career successes and bets for carnaval music, reinforcing the block as one of the most anticipated of the season.

On the same day, some blocks with strong cultural identity also integrate the agenda. The Disconnect of Justice leads to the streets humor, political satire and social criticism in the form of marchinhas and parodys, while Tecnomacumba proposes an experience that mixes electronic music, Afro-Brazilian rhythms and references to religions of African matrix, reaffirming the carnaval as a space of diversity and cultural resistance.

On Sunday, the highlight is the megablock BeiraQAbre?, with singer Ivete Sangalo, who debuts in the street circuit of Rio this year. The forecast is to gather about 50,000 revelers. Consolidated as one of the most commented megablocks in recent years, will it open? it is part of the list of ten large blocks predicted by the City Hall, in a carnaval that must gather about 6 million foliões throughout the city.

The folia also spreads through other neighborhoods with blocks that reinforce the plural character of the carnaval carioca. In Laranjeiras, the Mini Sea Beings bet on a playful proposal aimed at children and families. At Jardim Botânico, Me Forgets rescues the nostalgia of classic marches and sambas. The Vira-Lata and Friends of Barra keep alive the tradition of street blocks, with irreverent parades, democratic and strong bond with the local community.
