No Carnaval 2026, 12 associations will perform on Friday, February 20, eve of the Champions Parade. The other eight schools will be part of the opening of technical trials, on dates that will still be disclosed by Liesa (Liga Independente das Escolas de Samba do Rio de Janeiro).
With the new format, Liesa seeks to further value the work of children's schools and provide a more structured, welcoming and special experience for children and adolescents who have kept the samba tradition alive since early.
