Léo Santana drags crowd in the Center of Rio in bustling morning of pre-carnaval

From Gold's Megabloco to the irreverent proposals of the Disconnect of Justice, Saturday morning brought together cultural diversity and public records on the streets of the city.

On Saturday morning (31), the Gold Block took over the Gil Black Circuit, dedicated to megablocks, and made the carioca floor boil to the sound of the GG of Bahia. For the third consecutive year, Léo Santana led the party and shook the public with an infectious repertoire that confirmed the block as one of the major highlights of the street Carnaval. In previous years, Léo Santana repeated once again the success of the trio on the streets of the city and dragged a crowd to the sound of the greatest successes of his career.

With approximate audience of 250 grand. People, the celebration was a success. The repertoire included phenomena of this Carnaval such as “Slip” and “Marquinha de Fitinha”, as well as consecrated hits such as “Éta Novinha”, “Perna Bamba”, “Zona de Danger”, “Santinha” and many others. As a conductor used to rule large crowds, the singer left no one standing, and the audience responded to the height, singing their successes with excitement while the trio walked the street First of March.

Off Justice

The Block Off Justice enchanted the foliões that occupied the Praça Tiradentes, in the Center of Rio, on Saturday morning (31). With the theme “Sustainability League”, the association led to the street a proposal of environmental awareness, collective responsibility and social transformation, uniting reflection, culture and fun.

Following the tradition of the Disconnect of Justice, whose name makes a pun with the league of heroes of the DC universe, many revelers bet on fantasies of heroes and villains of comics. Among the highlights, a group of six Green Lanterns, formed by children and adults, drew attention in the middle of the party. Messiah Costa, 37 years old, one of the members, said that they are all from the same family and that they participate in the bloc for the tenth consecutive year.

The repertoire celebrated the musical diversity of the Carnaval, gathering classics that excited the audience. Among them, songs such as “Es Today”, plot of the Union of the Island of 1982, “I’ll Festejar”, success in the voice of Beth Carvalho, “The Beauty Is You Girl”, Bebeto, and “Alegria, Joy”, by Caetano Veloso, made the joy of the public. The Bahian axé was also present, with successes of Banda Eva, as “Hello Passion”, “Belaza Rara” and “Me Hug”, among others.

Since October 2025, the association has collected cans during its trials, intended for local waste pickers. On the official day of the parade, the action was maintained, reinforcing the incentive for the correct disposal of waste.

Created from the uneasiness of musicians and revelries with the directions of the country and institutions, the Offline of Justice gained notoriety by transforming complex themes of political and legal daily life into well-humored marchinhas, parodyas and sambas.

The full schedule runs until February 22nd and can be checked in the app Rio blocks 2026 and on the official website www.carnavalderua.rio ensuring that all the revelers know where and when the revelry will be.
