LAST DAY OF THE STREET BLOCK INSCRIPTIONS 2025

The Prefeitura do Rio, through the Riotur, announces the final line for the registration of street blocks interested in parade on the 2025 carnaval. The representatives of the associations can register until 12/09, on the website: riotur.prefecture.rio

Registration is the first stage for the validation of parades. The registration is fundamental so that Riotur and the other public agencies can plan the organization of the structure that will be made available throughout the city during the parades of the blocks.

The novelty of carnaval is that Riotur will anticipate the bureaucratic part. The forecast is that the fundamental license for the release of the parades of blocks will be delivered up to a month in advance in relation to the carnaval, until January 25.

In 2024, there were 453 parades authorized by Riotur. About eight million people played in the Rio carnaval. The first day of February already has block on the street in the pre-carnaval
