2026 is right there and this year will have several holidays!
The 2026 holiday calendar promises to boost tourism in Rio. According to a survey of Visit Rio, the 11 commemorative dates of next year should move around R$ 3 billion in the city economy and generate approximately R$ 150 million in ISS. There will be seven holidays, three regional holidays and one that falls over the weekend, in addition to the traditional Réveillon, Carnaval and Christmas. The balanced distribution of holidays throughout the year favors the planning of tourist trade and stimulates short trips, a great opportunity for those who love to take advantage of the best of the Wonderful City.
If you're one of those people, you can start planning! We have prepared the complete list of holidays and optional points of 2026 to help you set up that dream trip (or various holidays!) in Rio.
