Next Sunday, October 12, Rio becomes a real stage of fun to celebrate Children's Day! With a special program designed to delight the whole family, the city offers options for all tastes and styles. Keys: The Exhibition

After passing through several Brazilian capitals and receiving more than half a million visitors, the largest show ever held in the world about the character Chaves will be inaugurated in Rio on October 10, 2025, in the Via Parque Shopping, Barra da Tijuca.

The exhibition occupies a space of over 1,000 square meters and gathers an original collection from Mexico. There are more than 20 immersive scenarios that marked generations of viewers, such as the iconic Vila do Chaves, the House of Seu Madruga, the restaurant of Dona Florinda, the classroom of Professor Girafales and the unprecedented Hall of the Witch of 71, recreated for the first time off television.

In addition to the village boy's universe, the show also makes room for Chapolin Colorado, with classic episodes and curiosities about costumes and characters, including villains such as Super-Sam and Racha-Cuca.

Arteirinhos Festival - Flamengo Park

Samba Wheel of Small Talents in Mouse Alley

The samba house of Lapa will have an unprecedented samba wheel, formed exclusively by young musicians.

On the same day it celebrates its 36 years, CCBB Rio prepares a special program, free and dedicated to the whole family!

• Nolita Roastery Restaurant celebrates Children's Day with special confectionery class for mini chefs

On October 10th, at 5pm, Nolita Roastery (New York City Center – Barra da Tijuca) performs a special edition of his “Fantastic Candy Factory” in celebration of Children’s Day.

The program features a children's confectionery class led by chef Felipe Appia, which will reveal a surprise recipe on time. The workshop lasts about 1 hour and offers a practical, fun and educational experience, with complete safety and professional guidance. The Nolita squirrel mascot will also be present, distributing balloons and cheering up the kids.

In the end, the little ones enjoy a special snack, with options of Smash Burger with potato or Pizza Kids, accompanied by drink.

The City of Arts has prepared a special program for the month of children, with cultural attractions and activities for the whole family. In addition to free spaces such as the children's playground, the Lego model with Rio icons, the Municipal Library Ziraldo and the Morrinho project, the public can see varied shows.

Among the highlights, China's National Ballet presents The Nutcracker from October 9 to 12 in the Great Room. The Children’s Day weekend brings the show “The Little Prince” (11 and 12/10) and the release of the book and short “The Boy of the Cardboard Box” (12/10). The historic headquarters of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Allerj), promotes next Friday (10/10) the event “Palacio dos Dreams”, a free theatrical visit in celebration of Children's Day. With hourly sessions, the activity seeks to bring children closer to the history and importance of the Rio de Janeiro Parliament through a playful and interactive experience.

The script features seven characters — among heroes, princesses, princes and storytellers — who lead the public through the emblematic spaces of the building, which will be 100 years old in 2026. During the journey, visitors will be able to know environments such as the Getúlio Vargas lobby, the Nobre Salon, the Café Room, the Dona Maria Portugal Duque Costa Library and the Barbosa Lima Sobrinho Plenary.
