Cristo Redentor will have extended hours during school holidays

Between 11 July and 10 August, access to the Cristo Redentor will have extended schedules in the official vans of Paineiras Corcovado, responsible for transport to the monument. The service will work with extended hours at the three traditional boarding points: Visitor Center Paineiras, Largo do Machado and Copacabana (Praça do Lido).

During this period, the box office of the Paineiras Visitor Center will be open from 7:30am to 6pm, while shipments in Copacabana and Largo do Machado will take place from 8am to 4pm. Tickets include round trip to the Cristo Redentor, ensuring a safe visit to one of the seven wonders of the modern world.

To avoid queues and enjoy the tour better, it is recommended the advance purchase of tickets by official website, with preference for the times of less movement, between 12h and 6h.

In addition to transportation, the visit through the official vans gives access to the Paineiras Visitor Center, which offers free the exhibition “Protector Forest” — with models, projections and simulations that tell the history of the Tijuca National Park. The site still has a complete structure for the public, including dining options, souvenir shop and a panoramic view of the city.

When purchasing tickets in advance through official channels, the visitor avoids queues and helps improve the organization of the flow during the period of greatest movement in the most visited tourist destination in the country.
