Copacabana will become Bembé: Kiss-Flor promotes special parade on the shore this Sunday

The edge of Copacabana will be taken by samba this Sunday (25), with the holding of a special parade of the Beija-Flor of Nilópolis. Samba School will take the singing, energy and strength of its community to Av. Atlantica, in an open presentation to the public that promises to transform one of Rio's best-known postcards into a great stage of celebration of popular culture.

Baptized as “Copacabana will become Bembé”, the action brings together components of the Agremiação in a procession that highlights the fundamental elements that the Beija-Flor will take to Sapucaí this year. The parade also reinforces the presence of samba as an artistic, cultural and social expression deeply linked to the history of Rio.

The members' concentration is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., beginning the parade scheduled for 4:00 p.m., at the time of Santa Clara Street. The initiative marks the return of Beija-Flor to the edge of Copacabana in a traditional parade format, something that has not happened since 2018. To facilitate the displacement of the components, Beija-Flor will provide exclusive buses, with scheduled departure for 13h, from the school headquarters in Nilópolis. The public who wish to accompany the parade will be able to access the region through public transport, with landing at the station Siqueira Campos do Metro, in addition to the various bus lines that serve the neighborhood.
