Chile Avenue Parade Circuit begins to honor Bira Presidente

The traditional Chile Avenue circuit now has a new name: Chile Avenue Parade Circuit – Bira Presidente. The tribute celebrates the trajectory of the sambaist and founder of the bloc Branch Chief, who died in June this year, at the age of 88, leaving a remarkable legacy also ahead of the group Quintal Background.

The circuit is concentrated on Avenida Almirante Barroso, from Rua México, it follows Avenida República de Chile and is dispersed on Rua do Lavradio. The path already receives emblematic blocks such as Ambassadors of Folia, Bohemians of Iraq and Ounce breath. The change seeks to value Bira's contribution to samba and the cultural identity of Rio, strengthening the tradition of street carnaval.

Organisation Rio All Year Round, developed in partnership with the Municipal Secretariat of Economic Development, the circuit is one of the most important of the carnaval of Rio and contributes directly to the strengthening of tourism and the economy of the city.
