Block Anitta gathers 700 thousand foliões and celebrates the strength of the Carnaval Street in the Center of Rio

With theme “Cosmos”, singer sang hits, received guests and wore fantasy inspired by the energy of the orixás in the Gil Black Circuit of megablocks.

The Anitta Block took the streets of the Center of Rio de Janeiro this Saturday (21) and took about 700 thousand foliões by the Black Circuit Gil in the early morning hours. Concentrating from 7 a.m., the procession traveled to Rua First of March to the sound of the artist's greatest hits, turning the region into a large open stage.

Consolidated as one of the largest street blocks in Brazil and one of the most anticipated events of the carnivalesco carioca calendar, the parade brought together fans from different parts of the country in a mood of celebration and euphoria. In the repertoire, a sequence of hits packed the route, interspersed by surprises and special participations in the electric trio, tradition that repeats each edition and expands the animation of the public.

In 2026, the artist chose the theme “Cosmos”, celebrating astrology and the mystical universe. The concept guided the costumes used throughout the parade, with looks inspired by the zodiac, full of brilliance and futuristic elements, reinforcing the performance character that is already registered in the block.

“ I always find a way to bring my identity, my way of being, to the themes of my carnaval. Cosmos comes to represent my current moment. But the mantras will only be memes, okay? For 2026 they can expect a lot of play, hits, beautiful looks and that atmosphere of joy that is brand of these shows ", said the singer.

The presentation in Rio marked the closure of the artist's carnival agenda, which also commanded the block in Salvador, in the Circuit Barra-Ondina, and in São Luís, in the Circuit Veja Pro Mar. The processions took place after another successful season of the Anitta Essays, which passed through 10 cities in 11 shows with sold-out tickets, consolidating the heating for the Carnaval in the main capitals of the country.

The artist also explained the concept of fantasy chosen for this year. “Today I took the part out of my head because it was too heavy. My fantasy represents the energy of the orixás. I'm not representing a specific orixa, but the energy and meaning they carry. This is why he brought elements of candomblé culture, such as the mask, mirror and clothing that refers to orixá clothes, but without specific colors. It is precisely to give this reading of energy ", detailed.

During the parade of the Anitta Block, singer and composer Carlinhos Brown sang hits such as “Mineral Water”, “Magalenha”, “Beija-Flor” and “I Just Want a Xodó” and highlighted the symbolism of the fantasy chosen by Anitta, as well as highlighting the relationship between Rio and the religions of African matrix.

“You are dressed as orixás. Rio is the birthplace of Umbanda, which emerged to fight injustices ", said the artist.

In the repertoire, she opened with “Speak Who It Is”, hit recorded in 2024 with Melody, and “Avisa There”, in 2022, partnership with Pocah and Lexa. The presentation also included “Show of the Powerful”, “Go Malandra”, “Involve” and “Movement of the Sanfoninha”. The electric trio was attended by famous friends of the artist, including Marina Ruy Barbosa, Juliette and Mariana Ximenes.

The history of the block, directly linked to Anitta's trajectory in the carnaval, was evident in the format of the show, in the special appearances in the electric trio and in the presence of artists and personalities who accompanied the parade. With each edition, the block expands its dimension and reinforces the tourist, cultural and economic impact of the carnaval carioca.

The foliã Maiara Santos da Costa told us that it arrived from Minas Gerais and went straight to the procession to accompany the presentation.

“It’s my first time,” he said. “I came only to the block. I arrived just this morning.”

The young Gabriele Barbosa also left São Paulo and came to Rio de Janeiro just to participate in the presentation. She stated that she arrived in town the day before and soon prepared to accompany the parade.

At the end of the season in Rio de Janeiro, the artist highlighted the thrill of completing the marathon at home, surrounded by the family.

“ Closing in Rio is different, it's at home. It's different because my family can be with me, I'm close to home. Everyone who comes with me knows the importance of my family to me. So, closing in Rio sure brings this special taste ", he said.
