Arraia do germano 2024 party gathers residents with several attractions this weekend

This weekend there will be a “bão’s foot drag” with the seventh edition of Arraiá do Alemão, one of the most anticipated events in the community, is an initiative by the City Hall through the Riotur. The event is held on behalf of the NGO Voice of the Communities, and it happens this weekend (8 and 9 June), in Inhaúma Square.

For many residents of Rio, the event is an opportunity to reconnect with their cultural roots and kill the homesickness of the homeland. This year, the Arraiá brings a special tribute to the northeastern culture, standing out with a program full of artists from the Northeast, including representatives of the sertanejo, trio de forró and axé. The central theme of the event is a reference to icons of northeastern music Luiz Gonzaga and Carmelia Alves, considered king and queen of the baião in the 1950s. The stages of Arraiá will receive the names of these great artists, with the talented Daniela Mercury and the Pagodeiro TIEE as one of the highlights of the programming. The Carmélia Alves stage will be composed of local artists, with 70% women.

Among the attractions and activities planned, an bleacher will allow the public to follow the presentations of the gangs, as well as areas for typical juna party games, such as mechanical bull, fishing and brand activations to take photos in panels and distribution of gifts. The event will feature two stages and live broadcasts of the shows and performances of the gangs, where Quintal da Magia, Tiee, Cassiano Beija-Flor, Sávio Araújo, Rosy Campbel and DJ Tigo will also perform, promising a variety of rhythms and performances for all tastes.

The safety and well-being of participants are priorities for the organization of the Arraiá. For this reason, strict measures will be taken, including magazines carried out by the reinforced security and policing team in the region. The security scheme will be similar to that implemented in Carnavoz, with police officers in all accesses of the event to ensure security inside and around the site. With the expectations of an even larger audience this year, Arraiá do Alemão 2024 has free admission and start from 3 pm. The tip is to use public transport, and MetroRio is the best option to get to Arraiá do Alemão quickly and safely! Board one of the compositions of LINE 2 and land at Inhaúma station.
