Even in the rain, the Alice's tea enchanted thousands of revelers who arrived early this Saturday (24) in the Gil Black Circuit of megablocks, in the Center. With its proposal marked by diversity, freedom of expression and much joy, the block turned the morning into a great celebration, bringing together people of all ages in a spectacle of colors, costumes and high astral.
The novelty of this year was the participation of Mexican singer Christian Chávez, RBD, who made his debut at the Carnaval of Rua do Rio, and attracted many fans of the band, in addition to the public LGBTQIA+, already faithful to Alice's Tea.

After singing some original songs, such as “Sexy Boy”, the musician cheered the audience with “Rebel”. The revelries were creative in the fantasies that blended with characters from the fantastic universe of "Alice in Wonderland", which is the inspiration of the block, born from a party created in 2009, and also had costumes inspired by RBD members.
To the sound of varied rhythms, the public danced and sang along sambas and pagodas with the Sambay group - the first samba wheel LGBTQIAPN+ of Brazil, which paid homage to Black Gil, a singer who died in 2025 and named the circuit where the megablocks of Rio parade. The group sang "Fire Bells", the success of Gilberto Gil's daughter.

The revels also vibrated with the Bahian axé of the New Babado. The singer Mari Antunes excited the revelries by playing classics of the genre and successes that marked the band's trajectory, such as "Sabão Ball" and "January to January". The hits “Eva”, Banda Eva, “Macetando”, by Ivete Sangalo, and “Melo do Tchan”, of the group It's Tchan, they were also part of the party repertoire. 4
The Royal Court LGBT+2026 also marked presence. With much animation and representativeness, Muso John Smile, Musa Bianca Mourão and the non-binary person Wend participated in the party next to the revelers, symbolizing the plurality that makes the event one of the most emblematic of the carnaval street of Rio.

Ice cream Giants of Lira and Call People Animate Revelries in the South Zone
Saturday morning was also scheduled for the whole family. In the Garden Square Laranjeiras, in the South Zone, in a climate of children's playful spectacle, the Lira Giant Ice Cream brought together children and guardians in a revelry full of magic.

Founded in 1999 by Yeda Dantas, the block mixes the carnival climate with the circus universe, bringing clowns, acrobats, creative fantasies and the traditional distribution of popsicles, ensuring the children's fun.
The theme of 2026 was "The Wizard of Us", inspired by the classic of children's literature and cinema "The Wizard of OZ". Already in San Conrado, the block Call People. began the revelry with the band Chiclete with Banana, which even after the departure of singer Bell Marques, rejoiced the revelers with much axé and hits that marked generations.

Faced with the sea, the parade took the energy of Bahian carnivals to the Rio riverfront, promoting a meeting between the hits of Bahia and the tradition of the Carnaval of Rua do Rio.
Inspired by the classic Brazilian popular music that gives it name, the block bets on an eclectic repertoire, mixing axé, national successes and consecrated songs of the popular songbook, ensuring easy adherence of the revelers.
The parade attracted a diverse audience, bringing together young and lovers of the Carnaval who seek an animated experience outside the most traditional and overcrowded circuits of the city. The Call People consolidates São Conrado as one of the stages with paradisiacal scenery of Rio's folia.
Altogether, 454 blocks parade in the Carnaval of Rua do Rio 2026 and the expectation is to receive six million foliões, between cariocas and tourists. The full schedule runs until February 22nd and can be checked in the app Rio blocks 2026 and on the official website www.carnavalderua.rio ensuring that all the revelers know where and when the revelry will be.
