Alice's Tea and Lexa's Block shake the Rio Street Carnaval with megablocks in the Center

The Carnaval 2026 already takes the streets of the Wonderful City with an intense schedule of blocks that promise to shake revelries of all ages. This weekend, the Gil Black Circuit, in the Center of Rio, will be the stage of two megablocks with great public expectation.

On Saturday (24), ‘Chá da Alice’ focuses from 7 a.m. on Street First of March, and receives an audience with songs ranging from pop to axé. One of the novelties announced this year is the special participation of Mexican singer, known for joining the RBD group, Christian Chávez.

"For me, participating in a megablock in Rio for the first time is something that fills me with emotion and expectation. The Carnaval of Rio has always been a dream for me, not only as an artist, but as someone who loves music, joy, freedom and celebration of life. Brazil is an extremely important place in my heart, it is a country that has always received me with much love, affection and energy."

The expectation is of an audience of over 50,000 people enjoying music, fantasy and joy in the streets of the Center.

In 2026, the folia soundtrack will also feature the Sambay group, one of the main samba wheels aimed at the LGBT+ movement, and Babado Novo, led by Mari Antunes. The concentration takes place at 7am, with an exit scheduled for 8am, in the Black Circuit Gil, in the Center of Rio.

Already on Sunday (25) it is Lexa's turn to climb the trio and brighten the streets with its high astral and successes, as "Call her", "Only After the Carnaval" and "Sapequinha", besides singing carnival hits.

The concentration also starts at 7am and the block is ideal for funk and pop lovers. The artist will present her successes to pack the audience with carnaval hits that should excite the fans present.

This year, the megablocks that gather thousands of people take place on the Black Gil circuit, which was named after the singer in 2025. For years, she dragged a crowd into her traditional bloc, known for its diversity and animation.

More blocks scattered around the city

In addition to the megablocks, Saturday morning (24), has programming for the whole family with the children’s block ‘Gigantes Iced of Lira’, in Garden Square Laranjeiras, in the South Zone.

The theme of 2026 will be "The Magician of We", inspired by the classic of children's literature and cinema "The Wizard of Oz" and one of the most expected moments by children is the traditional distribution of popsicles that guarantees refreshment and animation.

Founded in 1999 by Yeda Dantas, the block mixes the carnival climate with the circus universe, bringing clowns, acrobats and creative fantasies.

Saturday will also have the block ‘Call People’, which will take a lot of energy to São Conrado to parade facing the sea, mixing Bahian and Rio rhythms in a climate of celebration and summer. With electric trio and a repertoire marked by axé, the block promises to present a surprise attraction that will surprise the revelers.

Several blocks rock the city this Saturday, including the ‘Neither Change, Nor Sai de Cima’, which parades at Tijuca at 16h and the Beach Block, which leaves at 17h in Pedra de Guaratiba.

On Sunday, there is still the child ‘Walk’, followed by ‘Just Walk’, in Largo dos Lions, in Humaitá. The parade promises lightness and joy, with familiar atmosphere. Created in 2009, the ‘Just Caminha’ emerged from the initiative of a group of friends living in Botafogo and Humaitá, in love with samba and Carnaval street.

Currently, the ‘Just Walk’ has about 100 members in the battery, commanded by the master Caliquinho, known for his passage by the Faithful Battery of the samba school São Clemente.

In the North Zone, the animation will be on account of the ‘Cordon of Tia Juca’ and ‘Folia do Tinoco’, the Tijuca, and the ‘Banda da Zulmira’, the Maracanã.
