World Summit of C40 Mayors

Between November 3 and 5, Rio will receive the C40 World Summit of Mayors, the largest international meeting of cities committed to climate action. The event will bring together mayors from over 100 major urban centers, as well as global leaders, investors, philanthropists, representatives of international organizations, the private sector and civil society.
Every three years, the C40 Summit marks the opening of the COP30 Local Leaders Forum, which will also take place in the Rio capital. Organized by Bloomberg Philanthropies in partnership with the COP30 Presidency, the forum precedes the United Nations Climate Conference (COP30), scheduled to begin on 10 November in Belém (PA).
