The story of one of the movements that transformed Brazilian music gains a new reading in the show “The Tom of Bossa” Idealized and produced by singer, actress, composer and producer Andréa Montezuma, the project will be presented free of charge on August 26th (Wednesday), at 18h, no Fashion Mall Theatre, In San Conrado.
With music, interpretation and narrative, the presentation proposes a journey through the origins of Bossa Nova and the artists responsible for transforming the genre into an international reference. In front of the show, Andréa Montezuma leads the public through important moments of this trajectory. With a career dedicated to the interpretation of MPB and Bossa Nova, the artist began her career in nightclubs in Rio de Janeiro and, over the years, went through theaters, festivals and cultural spaces in different regions of the country.
The singer also joined for years the fixed cast of Vinícius Piano Bar, a traditional space dedicated to Bossa Nova, where she performed for audiences of different nationalities. With severe and striking timbre, Andréa received performance awards and consolidated her relationship with the repertoire of the genre.
