Public success in Brazil and abroad, the play OCD TOC – Obsessively Fun, written by the French Laurent Baffie, returns to Rio in a new montage at Teatro dos 4, from October 31. With actors Daniel Dantas and André Gonçalves in the cast, the show addresses the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), a real disorder that affects millions of people worldwide.
The plot takes place in the waiting room of a doctor's office, where six patients with different symptoms of OCD await care. The unexpected absence of the specialist makes the group decide to start an unusual collective therapy session on their own.
Among the characters are White, obsessed with hygiene; Mary, dominated by constant doubt, locked the doors; Lili, who lives with rituals of repetition; Bob, in search of symmetry; Vincent, who cannot stop calculating; and Fred, who faces involuntary vocal tics. The doctor's assistant completes the group, marked by differences, but united by the desire to improve.
