The 10 years of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Rio 2016 are celebrated with the exhibition "The Olympic Tomorrow: Legacy and Future", no Museu do Amanhã until October 5th. The exhibition has the mission of revisiting the urban, sports and social transformations driven by the largest sporting event ever held in the city.
The exhibition integrates the commemorative programming of the decade of the Games and highlights how the investments made for Rio 2016 contributed to the expansion of the legacy of the competition. Initially planned in 17 projects, legacy-related programs reached 30 initiatives after the event, reflecting impacts that remain present in the development of the city.
As part of the celebrations, two sculptures were also inaugurated in the external area of the Museum, expanding the exhibition circuit and reinforcing the connection between the cultural equipment and the Olympic memory of Rio.
