The City of Arts, at Barra da Tijuca, will be the scene of a dip in the tradition and passion of tango. The international show “Tango Genuine” is presented on 8 and 9 November, in the Great Room, in two sessions on Saturday (16h and 20h) and one on Sunday (20h).
The City of Arts, at Barra da Tijuca, will be the scene of a dip in the tradition and passion of tango. The international show “Tango Genuine” is presented on 8 and 9 November, in the Great Room, in two sessions on Saturday (16h and 20h) and one on Sunday (20h).
With Argentine musicians and dancers on stage, the show leads the public through a true journey through the history of the genre — from the origins in the suburbs of Buenos Aires to the consecration of tango as a cultural symbol of Argentina and the immaterial heritage of humanity.
Under the musical direction of Fernando Marzan, one of the largest names of tango porteño, the show brings together live interpretations of classics by Astor Piazzolla and other great composers. The choreographies are signed by renowned Karina Piazza, an international reference in tango dance.
