The show FILIPA premieres on March 5 at the Glaucio Gill Theatre in Copacabana, bringing to the scene the royal trial of Filipa de Sousa, Portuguese condemned by the Inquisition in the 16th century for loving other women. Considered one of the first victims of sexual orientation persecution in Brazil, its trajectory has become a symbol of resistance and struggle for freedom. The play revisits historical documents to reflect on memory, justice and diversity, in a historical drama that connects past and present.
