The Rio de Janeiro Theatre Festival arrives at its second edition between July 29th and August 16th, occupying the Riachuelo and TotalEnergies Theaters - Sala Adolpho Bloch with a schedule that brings together some of the main shows in circulation in the country. After opening with sessions exhausted in 2025, the event returns expanded, with new shows, training activities and meetings aimed at the public and professionals in the sector.
As in the first edition, the festival maintains the proposal to present outstanding assemblies of the Brazilian theatrical scene, while promoting debates, workshops and actions aimed at the formation of audiences and the strengthening of the cultural market.
One of the novelties for this edition is the expansion of the occupation of the TotalEnergies Theatre. In addition to Sala Adolpho Bloch, the festival will use living areas and rehearsal rooms to receive free activities, courses, workshops and meetings of the Palco 360 program, whose full programming will be released soon. The space will also house the show "New Scene", dedicated to the presentation of new theatrical works. The program of the show will still be announced by the organization.
