The Amazon Itinerant Museum (MIA) arrives in Rio on March 13, with the exhibition “Passado, Presente, Futuros”, no Institute of Architects of Brazil (IAB-RJ), Flamengo. The show proposes reflections on urbanization, ancestry and climate justice, debating how cities can adapt to the impacts of the climate crisis, such as flooding, heat waves and landslides.
The immersive experience brings together paintings, maps, videos and photographs that connect science, architecture and ancestral knowledge. In the Carioca edition, works by artists Thaís Iroko and Leid Ane, which address themes such as memory, territory and the experiences of black and peripheral women, are included.
