The band Big Dog and the group Vanguart perform on Friday (25/09), at the Flying Circus, at Lapa, on a night that also honors Bahian filmmaker Ricardo Spencer, who would be 50 years old on the date. The program brings together two full shows and a series of actions in memory of the director, partner of the bands and the cultural space.
The Big Dog returns to the stage after a break and features successes from its more than 25 years of career. The band gaúcha is one of the names that helped mark the scene of the alternative Brazilian rock from the 2000s, with part of its trajectory recorded in music videos directed by Spencer.
On the other hand, Vanguart features songs from “Freedom Station”, her seventh album, as well as career classics. The group Cuiabano also receives Messiah, lead singer of the band Playing God and longtime friend of Ricardo Spencer, for a special participation during the tribute.
The celebration will also feature Spencer's music videos on the screen and the inauguration of a graffiti produced by the artist Gen Duarte. Before and after the shows, DJ Damasound runs the track with a Brazilian music set.
