Larissa Manoela and André Luiz Frambach play together, for the first time on stage, the romantic comedy “Shoes in the Park”, classic Neil Simon in Clara Nunes Theatre. With the translation, adaptation and direction of Guilherme Weber, the montage is on display in Rio de Janeiro until November 28 and presents a history set in the city during the 1950s.
In the plot, Lara and Edu return from their honeymoon at Copacabana Palace for a rented apartment at Catete and begin to deal with the challenges of life by two. She is an optimistic, free-spirited woman; he is a newly formed, introverted, methodical lawyer. The couple's differences are widened with the presence of an eccentric neighbor, the bride's mother and a telephone technician who is involved in the characters' routine.
The montage combines humor, everyday conflicts and references to the atmosphere of the so-called golden years, with soundtrack composed of classic Bossa Nova and samba-song, including songs by Tom Jobim, Carlos Lyra and Silvinha Telles.
