The project Africanise celebrates the award for Best Electronic Release at the Brazilian Music Award 2026 with a special presentation at the Flying Circus on Saturday, July 18. The show is part of the "Cabaça Tour" and will feature participations of Lazzo Matumbi, Kbrum, Clara Ribeiro and Olirum, as well as a program of DJs and attractions focused on electronic music. The gate opening will be at 8:00.
In front of Africanise is percussionist, drummer and music producer Renato Junior, who also acts as technical director of the Flying Circus. With a trajectory built between Rio and Salvador, the artist develops a musical research that brings together the rhythms of Candomblé from electronic music through the use of synthesizers and analog equipment.
On stage, Africanise welcomes singer Lazzo Matumbi, musician Kbrum, singer Clara Ribeiro and group Olirum. The program also brings together names of the national and international electronic scene. Among the attractions are Capetini, founder of the Doblado Records label and known for his research in the dub universe; Marta Supernova, who travels through different aspects of the house music; Carlos do Complexo, producer who mixes electronic music, R&B, funk carioca and African sounds; Anti Ribeiro, DJ, researcher and sound designer from Recife; and the British Hagan, recognized for incorporating influences from the Afro house, gqom, UK funky, funk ball and Brazilian rhythms in their sets.
