With a 45-year trajectory and a legion of faithful fans, the band 14 Bis gets on stage at the Flying Circus on Saturday, March 29, to celebrate this historic brand with a special show. The Silver Ship group will be responsible for opening the night, while DJ Alive Pop-Up will lead the track before and after the performances. The gates open at 8:00.
Mixing rock, MPB and folk, 14 Bis consolidated as one of the most iconic bands of Brazilian music. Founded in 1979 by brothers Cláudio and Flávio Venturini, besides Red, Sérgio Magrão and Hely Rodrigues, the band released their debut album the following year, with production by Milton Nascimento. Since then, there have been 16 albums and numerous hits, such as “Linda Juventude”, “Planeta Dream” and “Todo Azul do Mar”.
Currently, the original formation remains almost intact, with the exception of Flávio Venturini, who followed a solo career in 1987, but eventually participates in shows and recordings. For the show at the Flying Circus, the repertoire promises to thrill the audience with classics that marked generations.
The opening will be on behalf of the Silver Ship, a group that honors 14 Bis in both name and sound, bringing rereadings of classics of the Minas Gerais music and the Esquina Club. DJ Alive Pop-Up complements programming with a vinyl set that walks through Brazilian music and its connections to other continents.
