Known as the “marechala of elegance”, Laurinda gathered intellectuals and artists in the magnificent dependencies of her residence. Today, the space receives special and free cultural schedules and has exhibition room, auditorium for 100 people, stage of 88m2 and a kiosk. Its revitalization was one of the most beautiful projects awarded by architects Ernani Freire and Sonia Lopes.

BONZOLAND

Bonzolândia, by the artist Getúlio Damado, carries one of the most beautiful stories in the neighborhood. Getúlio began his life in Santa more than 25 years ago as a local street vendor. Nowadays he has held exhibitions abroad, is recognized and has become one of the great references in the cultural scenario of Santa Teresa.
Various recyclable materials are used in Bonzolândia to create unique parts. Lattes, pet bottles, various bottles and among other things that turn into inspiring arts. It is worth a visit to enter the world of Getúlio, to inspire and transform the simple into something original.
ATELLE CARDOUS DOMINGOS

Domingos Cardoso, owner of the studio, was born in Maranhão and painted since childhood. It was only when he moved to Rio de Janeiro that he began to live off his art.
Just when he came to Rio, he worked as a shoemaker and collected the shoe boxes to make art out of it. He made his own gallery with this material that would be discarded and loved to paint the landscapes of the Rio favelas.
Santa Teresa was also one of his greatest inspirations, he loved painting the neighborhood. It has grown increasingly and today 90% of its audience is made up of tourists, who make their paintings travel around the world.
OUR ATELLE

Our studio is by the painter Nelson Chrysostom. He paints fabrics such as canvas and clothing and exercises from contemporary techniques of optimization and reuse of resources to handmade family technology.
It was during the 1970s that Chrysostom began painting fabrics using these techniques. It was based very much on nature, vegetables and minerals, to seek colors and shades that it liked to see in clothing pieces.
Our workshop is a place with super well-made, original and authentic arts. Super worth the visit and appreciation!
