Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Lapa dos Mercadores
the Church Nuestra Señora de la Lapa de los Mercadores is the oldest and one of the most beautiful religious constructions in the City of Rio de Janeiro.
It is owned by the National Historic and Artistic Heritage Institute (Iphan). The Temple began to be designed in the year 1747 where there was an oratory, dedicated to Our Lady of the Lapa, meeting place of merchants and merchants. After a closed period, the Church was returned to the public and recently had its altar restored so that cariocas and visitors could envisage this work.
